Trip to Salt Lake City

Brad, Adriana and I flew to Salt Lake City on Saturday, May 24th to see our friends Jackie and Eric. It was Adriana's first flight ever. She did great! Passed out like 10 minutes into the flight and then woke up shortly before we started descending. The guy that was sitting next to us was super nice too (he was also probably relieved we didn't have a cranky, screaming child LOL).

When we arrived, we got our rental car (a nice ass Chrysler 300 - that had cup holder coolers - seriously, it did LOL), we met Jackie and Eric at their house in Lehi and then went to go eat at the waffle truck, which was divine!! We need one of these in Seattle, PRONTO!

The babies were so excited to see each other again :-)

Jackie left us a sweet message on her bathroom sink.

Then we went shooting. Adriana dug the shooting ear muffs.

The next day, Brad, the baby and I when to Antelope Island 90 minutes north of Lehi.
Here were some buffalo.

Then we got to an area where we could climb this big rock and check out the expansive view of the salt flat! So gorgeous!

 My loves.

Brad tried a Buffalo burger and he dug it!

Standing in the Great Salt Lake :-)

Afterwards we went to Jackie and Eric's for some apple crisp and Apples to Apples for Jackie's birthday.

On Monday we went to downtown Salt Lake City to check out the sights.

This was inside The Beehive House (Brigham Young's house). This wall was all hand painted in the dining room. It's crazy to see all of the intricate and gorgeous hand done things (walls, structure, etc) of homes that old.

An awesome chandelier in a big old building.

We also got to see the gorgeous temple. We may not be Mormon like our buddies, but we can certainly appreciate such a gorgeous piece of architecture.

We suffered a tragedy though... Adriana lost Ducky. She threw him overboard on the walk back to the car downtown.. Brad and I are very sad about it.. Luckily, Bree has one too, so Jackie let us borrow it for the remainder of the trip. Thank goodness!! It would have been a horrible time with no Ducky binky.. We will have to get her another one when we get back to Seattle!

Afterward coming back to Jackie's from downtown, we took the babies for a walk with Jackie's friend and her son and played on a trampoline.

Then we all went to Tucano's to eat some delicious food. I devoured the grilled pineapple like it was going out of style.

Brad ate a zillion chicken hearts and I wanted to puke just thinking about it. LOL

They sang happy birthday to Jackie.

And Brad was clapping along. HAHA

After dinner we drove to see a waterfall and go up Squak Peak. On the way there, we saw one of the letters in the mountain. The 'Y.' All throughout the mountains in Utah, they have man made letters up there, some that you can hike apparently according to Jackie. It's pretty cool. We saw quite a few on the many drives throughout our trip.

Me and Brad at the waterfall.

A couple shots of the sunset and city from the top of the mountain.

The babies enjoying the sunset.

The next day, we went jeeping and quadding up in the mountains.

 Brad got mighty dirty. LOL

Then we had a small bonfire and roasted some hot dogs and smores to cap off the evening of fun.

The babies had to say goodbye to each other since we had to be at the airport the next morning.

Such a fun time!!! Thank you again for having us Jackie and Eric!!! :-D

Here's a couple videos of us from quadding/jeeping:
