After my mom told us the doctors news, we all decided to go on a family getaway to Ocean Shores (which is my moms favorite place). We planned it for the end of June.
After some searching, we came across a cute rental house on a lake, near the ocean.
Brad, Teto and Bailey were not able to go, so it was just me, my mom, Aleta, Kiara, Hailey, Angela, Ken, Hailey, Kiley and my brother Michael.
Here's a little bit about the trip, along with some pictures:
I rode with my sister Aleta and her kids and my mom for the 3 hour long drive. It was a good drive. We stopped off at Burger King and had lunch.

They had a movie theater room in the house, so we watched some TV and a couple of movies. This evening, we watched one of mine and my moms fave movies to watch together, Dante's Peak! :-D

| Me and my sister went on a paddle boat ride in the lake.. Yup, my huge preggo belly and all. I managed to do it though! LOL |
It was a nice 4 day weekend. Mom wasn't able to do a whole lot. She slept a ton.. But, I'm just glad she was able to spend time with her family and see the ocean!! The day we left, we drove mom up to the ocean to watch it for a little bit.
All in all, it was a nice time. I just wish mom could have enjoyed it a little more.
